P&P= Portsmouth and Party!!!

Before the new term starts, I went to Portsmouth to visit one of my sweethearts~~ RenEe.
Despite the long journey, it does not stop me from going cuz I just missed her!! hahha~~
Portsmouth is so much bigger than Exeter, a bigger city, and sea! There, they have the tallest building outside London but I have already forgotten the name. I was impressed that one of the episode of Mr Bean was shot there, too bad the theme park was closed. It's kinda windy and cold that day anyway. It felt unbelievable to meet Ren in Portsmouth. I don't know. It just felt not real but yet she was there talking and chatting and laughing and stupiding and watching 10 episodes of 痞子英雄！！！Although short, it was a nice trip.

On Monday, it was NAtalie's (my flatmate) birthday! We throw her a party and there was loads of people coming to our flat. I never see so many people in the kitchen before. Our Kitchen is small and very dirty. hahaha..... Well, I think British just not use to washing their dishes after eating. They used to have dish-washer and that's why my kitchen is always full of unclean pots and pans and dirty dishes. It was a great night. The theme of the birthday party was Mr Men and Little miss. Everyone dressed up as one of the character and as usual, I do not. I am always the odd one out compare to them. I went to bed after talking to mom and Nat had to wake me up to remind me that the party was starting in 5 min. I was chilling and take my own sweet time to shower and do a very simple-not impressing make up. But, it was still good fun.

Later, my flatmate was "OMG, I am so jealous of you, you are dancing with Taffy. You lucky b*tch! I am going to write on my Facebook status to tell everyone about it".

Present from aunty Jane. A Hollister shawl. I never imagine that I will get something from Hollister now because it is so expensive. The clothes there never less than £50. Happy to get one!! I did not take a full length of the shawl, oh! it's the one that I wear in my facebook profile picture. Show you a bit! The grey and white shawl that is it!!
Second, hahha.... from my mom. Actually I bought it myself and she said it was my Christmas present. She pays I buy!! Hahaha.... I am the luckiest person in the world! My mom loves me, I know.Please excuse my awful face. I took off the make up before taking this pic!!

The last post of the year.

Yes, it is.
It's time for a summary of the year.

2009 is the year that I mostly spent in the UK, precisely in Exeter.
I met a lot of new friends and also get to experience a lot of new things.
This is the year I officially turned into an adult. Well, nothing special actually but still get to wear and carry branded stuff.
Got my first, T&Co, A/X bag, BB makeup, Nine West and Steve Madden Shoes, etc etc.
Life here is great, and I appreciate everything that comes to me. Ups and downs are essentials but I handled it well enough, I guess!

In the last day of the year, I spend my time reading and studying for my exams( and what I am here doing now? blogging??? lol) Later at night maybe to go and have a dinner and countdown. Should we be all wasted? hahhaha
who knows!!! maybe!
anyway, To everyone, Happy New Year and all the best in the coming year!!!!

Coffee

I come from a own that brew one of the best coffee in Malaysia---Ipoh.
Old time white coffee is so famous and the Kopitiam restaurant which franchise all over Malaysia have indeed made a good fortune.
Despite growing up in the "Coffee Town", I was not a coffee lover then. I drank Milo( coco drink) everyday before going to school. I did drink once a while because it does help to stay awake during my burning midnight oil days. Or when some friends came back during holidays, we will try to meet up in Starbucks and Coffee bean. As I grow older, I still prefer tea over coffee because I think coffee is too strong and can be very addictive.

Things change when I came to University. With the perfect location of Starbucks coffee(2 of them) in campus and the "wonderful" cold weather here, I started to drink coffee, lots of them. Now, it almost like once a day. I reckon this is not something good. The coffee trend in UK has influence me for sure. Besides, Starbucks, Cafe Ritazza in campus brew one of the nicest Italian coffee. Outside uni, I love to go to Boston Tea Party, enjoying my milky and foamy latte, chilling out while reading books.

However, I think I have to reduce the amount of coffee I consume. First, of course I have to save money rather spending all on coffee, secondly, I want to reduce carbon emission. I admit that I am consciousness towards environment is quite low but if is really able to cut down carbon emission by drinking less coffee, I think I am able to do that. At least, it made me feel better from the inside.
The lastest issue of New Scientist shows that an avearage cup of black coffee is responsible for 175kilograms of CO2 each year which equals for a flight from London To Rome. Adding milk, the methane blended by dairy cows increase the emission by a third. A regular latte( my favourite) takes 200 litre of water to produce inclusive of the coffee, milk, sugar and cup. After reading the article, I was kinda shock. Well, scientist are too free and that's why they use up all the time to do research and made consumers feel bad.+.+
I will try to reduce... try la!!!

The £50 is so near yet so far

I should have a £50 cheque with me by this week. Oh my god, it just flew away just because the person who toss the coin did not do it properly ( not her fault though).

The story goes like this.
In my political economy lecture, there was an experiment to determine human are benevolence in anyway whether they are being watched or not as Adam Smith said so. The "impartial spectator" is watching, so whatever we do we are doing out of benevolence. The lecturer told is that Student X is going to receive £50. So, what Student X will do with that £50? Keep it or give it to charity? Almost 200 student vote. We have to vote for 3 times. The first vote is anonymous. Second vote is with your name on the vote. Third vote is, if you are student X, what will you do? No one knows who is Student X.
And today, the results was announced. Obviously, the percentage of giving it to charity is higher when the names are shown compare to anonymous and student X IT'S ME!!! ME !!! ME!!!!
and my vote is TO KEEP THE £50 FOR MYSELF!!!!!
BUT...... here comes the evil word....
lecture has to toss the coin whether he gives the £50 pound to me or give ti to the charity...
shitty unlucky, tails... tails means give it to charity and here it goes... my £50 gone!!!
huhuhuhu~~~~~ if not my Notthingham trip will be free!!! arhhhhh!!!!!!

I am a lucky who got chosen among 200 of them and yet I am not getting the money!!!

Busy busy busy

University life has not be so busy before.
Or perhaps I am the one who make it so busy.
1)I have 5 modules this term compare to the other which has only 3.
2)I took Political Economy instead of introduction to Finance in my optional modules which means a harder module and more reading compare to others.
3)I register for In Sessional English Programme to improve my academic writing.
4)I enrolled for employability programmes to help to write good CV, interview skills and employability skills.
5)I joined Dancesports and I have a competition coming up next month in Southampton.
I need to do A LOT of practice with my partner.
6)I have a 1000 words of book review to hand up end of Nov and I have not start reading yet.
7) Seminar is coming in 3 weeks time and I did not even know who are my groupmates yet.

Sick+busy+fun

New term starts with a bang!!! big bang!!!
which is terrible sick followed me for more than a week.
It started when I cough blood before the squash and now with uncountable tissues on my desk.

But still life in Uni is awesome. I get to know new people. Some nice and some nasty ones for sure.
Another thing, I am now living with a bunch of British. They treated me okay and always invite me for anything they are doing. Consider quite nice as they did not threat me different.
Well, according to them, they don't see me different. They think that I am like them. hahahha....
omg.. I am half mat salleh now. Our flat claim ourselves as the alcoholic flat as everyone of us can drink. Well, I can but not much and not really liking it but them....woohoo!!!! Love it!!!
one thing, they do not force me. It's up to individual to drink what you want but must be alcohol. So what I do, I will pour 1 cm height of vodka and 5cm height of orange juice. Ratio 1:5. Them? 1:1.. hahhaha.....

Today, I cried. Amr left Uk and never come back. He will definitely be missed not only by me but others as well. He will be remembered as a nice, helpful, funny and kind person. Hope you will be successful in the other part of the world. Yes, he is going to study at New Zealand. Thousand and thousand miles away from here!!!! All the best!

Last week, I went Caving. OMG.... it was awesome!!!! I love it to the max.
Just sharing it with bell over msn just now. It's muddy, wet, cold, slippery but that is the fun of it!!
I cannot wait to go for another trip which is in south of wales..... yeah... I am coming. This time, I assume the cave will be even more challenging!!!! That's what I am aiming for! To conquer it.
Okky told me the longest cave in England is 75 KM. If the club really aim for that, I think we have to camp in the cave for a week to finish it!!! Wow, cannot imagine that.
Besides caving, I went for my first paintball in my life. I cannot say it was my type of game but I truly enjoy it. Although I got bruises all over my leg, but its alright. Cuz it is for Amr!!!
But 3 out of 5 games, I am the first one who got shot! I am so noob at this. hahha.... fall down too many times. ohya... on that day, there is this male dog keep on fucking with xyuro's hand... it was so disgusting!!! and funny too!!!

Leaving London in 2 hours time.
Glenna is still sleeping and I will wake her up after this post.
I was in Glenna's place for the pass 4 days. I really just tumpang at her place like she mentioned that how many hours do I actually stay at home. If I have time, I will go out... find friends etc etc.

Back to uni makes me feel alive again.

too bored, that's why

Once again I leave my family and country~~~~ for good.
Thinking everytime that I am about to leave my family, I feel bad.
Nothing in the world can really make me sad and depress except my family.
Well, not because I do not treasure my relationships with my friends but just the priority of family always comes first.
Despite all obstacles and challenges in life that I had face over the years, now I am ready for what I have been longing for. Surprise to say that, I actually feel nervous and worried at all times. Well, I am still a girl, still thinks and paranoid at all times. Wondering that in this stage of life, I have to grow up to be even stronger and better person. At the age if 21, many people have achieve so much in life but me?
Flashing back the time, I think I do achieve something. It might no be as magnificence as others but I do love my life. I have loving family and great friends. I have no problem in terms of my financial status and certainly comfortable with my social circle. What else in life I can demand more?

oh yes, I went to have a hair cut. my hairstylist told me I am not having a hair cut but a make over. Haha......My hair was a mess but now at least have a shape. 

Actually, my hair is not done yet. I am still thinking whether should I perm it. The big S type and dyed my hair into red. Tomorrow I will go to the saloon and have another makeover. Haha.....

Okay.... I promise to load up my new look after the whole thing is done!!!

Sorry people. I know I have abandon my blog for a month. Sorry for not updating this blog frequently. Well... sounds like I have a lot of readers. Haha.
Anyways, my last post was written in my room, and now I am writing this in My Room. I will take my sweet time to do so.
Within this month, not much happen. I sat for my exam then results came out, I came back, I went KL then came back and eat!

I went to KL to meet my college mates. So nice to meet up with them and crap a lot. From yesterday, today and future!!! yacht...private jet....lol

I think it will be a busy month for me. One month is too short for me. But somehow, sometime, I missed the times in Exeter!! hahaha.......
